English-language text only for now. Copy-protected (DRM) files can't be opened.

How it works

1

Open a book

Choose an EPUB or text file, or paste a chapter. Your book stays on your device.

2

Tap a word

Get its meaning in that sentence, with a pronunciation button and a plain-English explanation of the whole sentence if you want it.

3

Keep what matters

Save words with their sentence, then review them as flashcards that come back just before you'd forget.

Made for how you read

For readers

Questions

What happens to my books?

Books you open stay in your browser on your device. Only the word you tap and a short passage around it are sent to get an explanation.

What kinds of books can I read?

Any English-language text: novels, light novels, classics, nonfiction, textbooks, articles, or a chapter you paste in. You bring the book, and it stays on your device.

What files work?

EPUB and plain text files, or text you paste in. Files with copy protection (DRM) can't be opened.

Are the explanations always right?

No. They come from an AI model and can be wrong, especially for rare words, names, or unusual wording. Treat them as a helpful guide.

Will my saved words sync between devices?

Not yet. Saved words and progress live in this browser, so clearing your browser data will erase them. Export your words as a CSV to keep a copy.

What does it cost?

It's a free beta with a daily lookup limit. Paid plans may come later; nothing is charged now.

Ready to read?

No account needed. Open a book and tap your first word.
